Visit the pretty little town of Nyon with its historic castle and popular lakeside promenade. Between Lausanne and Geneva, about 20 minutes from Morges, from Morges, this was once a Roman colony named Noviodunum. Consequently, Nyon has a Roman Museum with many architectural remains and objects from the ancient everyday life of Romans. 

By the way, Nyon can easily be reached by bike from Morges via the famous La Côte Wine Route. But do be warned not to stop in too many of the picturesque villages along the way… for a visit to one of the countless wine cellars. Because a glass (or two) of delicious grape juice can quickly lead to the one glass too many !
