The Parc de l’Indépendance is located between the castle and the river Morges. These spacious grounds are a real paradise right in the center of the city. Bordering the lake, with a wonderful view of the Alps and the Mont-Blanc, the park is a wonderful place for a peaceful walk all year round. There are more than 50 different tree species and several historical monuments, such as the Fountain of Hercules (Hercules Fountain) ; a copy of a statue that was discovered in Pompeii and came to Morges at the beginning of the 20th century.

Particularly worthwhile is a visit to the annual Tulip Festival that takes place in the Parc de l’Indépendance come Spring-time. The event has become a true extravaganza of flowers and colors, with more than 100’000 tulips in full bloom. Spectators come from far away to celebrate this unique event in Switzerland ! Don’t forget to bring you camera ! Find out more : https ://www.morges-tourisme.ch/fr/Z12055/fete-de-la-tulipe
